Located at the northern-most tip of Los Angelos County is Antelope Valley which is made up of four major cities: Lancaster, Palmdale, Rosamond, and Mojave. Antelope Valley is home to a breathtaking 3,000 square miles of poppy fields which is why you’ve more than likely come across the fiery field of flowers when searching for images of the area. You’ll also find the “Devil’s Punchbowl” which is a 7.5 mile hike through the beautiful landscape of the Antelope Valley Desert. Depending on what you want out of your community and the lifestyle you lead, each of the four cities offer a little something different

Lancaster is a relatively quiet city known for its natural beauty. While the cost of living is a bit higher than the national average, it is still 49% lower than the California average. While there isn’t much of a nightlife scene, your evenings can be very peaceful, but if you’re looking for a little excitement, you’re in close proximity to larger cities like Los Angelos and Anaheim. Lancaster also makes more solar power per capita than any city in California making it an incredibly green living environment.

Palmdale is great for families looking to rent or buy their first home. It is relatively affordable with the cost of living being 49.9% lower than the Caliornia average and is reported to have a low crime rate. You’ll find lots of parks, and family-friendly amenities in the area and Palmdale is in proximity to bigger cities like Los Angelos and day-trip destinations like the beach.

Rosamond is known for the gateway to Edwards Air Force Base and a new spaceport in Mojave giving this city its nickname, “Aerospace Valley,” Rosamond is another great city for families due to its its reputable school district and comfortable neighborhoods. This city also offers plenty of job opportunities in ever growing careers with Chevron, the US Air Force, and Aera Energy.

Mojave is an incredibly small and quiet town with a population of just over 4,000 people. This makes for a tight-knit community with more of a rural and laid back feel, and Mojave is an incredibly affordable place to call home.
