Fresno California is home to approximately 542,000 people, making it fifth in rank of California’s largest city populations and in the top 50 cities in the Unites States. City limits span 116 square miles. 

 

The city of Fresno is in central California in the San Joaquin Valley. It sits at the crossroads of major Highways 99 and 41, as well as the Yosemite National Park southern access road, making it a pivotal tourist pit stop for anyone travelling in California. Fresno averages 300 days of sunshine per year. Summers are quite hot, often 100 degree days, but not humid.  Winters tend to be foggy. 

 

The largest industry in Fresno is agriculture. Nearly half of the county’s acreage is farmland. Top 5 crops are almonds, grapes, pistachios, garlic, and onions. Residents boast of having access to fresh fruits and veggies at local markets year round.
