Los Angeles Live Music Guide 2021
At long last, live music is back! Concerts and festivals are finally happening again now that most people are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. While live streaming has been an innovative way for musicians to stay active, make some money, and connect with fans during the pandemic, it is no replacement for in-person events. And music-lovers are not the only ones eager for shows – bands and performers are more than ready to get back on the stage, start touring again, and see their fans in person. The rest of 2021 is expected to be an explosion of musical performances, and the city of Los Angeles of all places is the ultimate hotspot for cultural activity. So, here’s the run-down on the shows and events in L.A. you can look forward to in the next 6 months:
Music Festivals
Snap Fest: July 16th
Snap out of pandemic darkness at Snap Fest! Coming right up is a mysterious event with a secret lineup and secret location. The address is revealed when you purchase a ticket; there’s a limited number, so don’t wait too long. They promise an “all-encompassing experience built upon the force of new possibilities.” The festival will feature food and apparel vendors, a diverse lineup of live bands, rappers, and DJs, as well as a surprise guest.
Rolling Loud Cali: December 10th – 12th
Rolling Loud is one of the most popular hip-hop music festivals in the nation, with events in Miami, New York, and Los Angeles. This year’s California event is located at the NOS Event Center in San Bernadino. Catch headliners Future, Gucci Mane, J. Cole, Kid Cudi, Playboi Carti, Wiz Khalifa, and Young Thug, among a host of other talented artists like Chris Brown, 2Chainz, Kodak Black, Tyga, Ty Dolla $ign, Yung Gravy, and many more.
Once Upon a Time in LA: December 18th
This unique event will take place at the Banc of California Stadium. Hosted by Snoop Dogg, this all-day festival features some classic well-known artists and new up-and-coming performers. See headliners Al Green, 50 Cent, The Game, YG, and Ice Cube, as well as The Isley Brothers, Bone Thugs N-Harmony, and Cypress Hill, among many more.
