Stockton is a city in the Central Valley of California, located within San Joaquin County. The city was founded in 1849 and named after Robert F. Stockton, a notable U.S. Navy commodore who played a role in the capture of California during the Mexican-American war. Stockton is the 13th largest city in California with a population of over 312,000 residents. It sits on the San Joaquin river and is surrounded by thousands of miles of waterways forming the California Delta.  Brookside 

 Brookside is one of the highest ranking neighborhoods in Stockton. The median income in this area is just over $112,000 and the median home value is $390,400. The population of Brookside is 9,490 and the unemployment is 3%. Brookside is considered one of the safest neighborhoods in the city with a crime rate of 0.8% and has excellent local schools, making it the perfect destination for families. While the neighborhood offers a quiet suburban feel, it sits just 3 miles north of downtown Stockton and is in close proximity to a plethora of shopping centers and restaurants. It is also home to the Brookside Golf and Country Club, Buckley cove park, and Nelson park, offering plenty of green spaces and beautiful surroundings. 

 Lincoln Village 

 Lincoln Village is another of Stockton’s most well established neighborhoods with a population of 8,400. It has been an attractive residential area since it was built in the 1960’s. It neighbors Swenson Park to the north, offering a unique recreational area featuring a parkland-style golf course. The median home value in Lincoln Village is $266,900 and median rent is $1,279. Only 33% of residents in this area are renters. Residents describe the neighborhood as a sparse suburban feel, offering privacy and security.  

 Spanos Park 

 This quiet neighborhood is well known for having the highest rated elementary schools in the city. Spanos Park is surrounded by serene landscaping and beautifully arranged trees creating a peaceful and secure neighborhood. You can find parks and tennis courts nearby Spanos lake, as well as the Spanos Park Golf Course. The population of Spanos Park is 7,540 with an unemployment rate of 4.6%. The median home price is $278,900 and median income is $99,748. This area is secluded and private, offering one of the lowest crime rates in the city of Stockton at 0.4%.
