Tenants appreciate the ability to pay rent online, which also decreases delinquency.  All expenses and receipts are tracked online and available to you at any time. The bulk of Alamo is served by the San Ramon Valley Unified School District, which has three schools: Alamo School, Rancho Romero Elementary School, and Stone Valley Middle School. The original school bell from the 1880s is kept at Alamo School, which was founded in 1965. 556 children are enrolled at Rancho Romero Elementary School, which was originally built in 1959 and then rebuilt. Located in the Alamo suburbs, Stone Valley Middle School recently underwent renovations and now has a student-to-teacher ratio of 21-1. The Walnut Creek Elementary School District and the Acalanes Union High School District are responsible for a tiny area of Alamo.

The main highway connecting Alamo to the San Ramon Valley is Interstate 680, which also makes it easily accessible by other means of transportation. With connections to numerous communities like Walnut Creek, Concord, Pleasanton, and Fremont as well as access to Wine Country, Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, and San Jose, this roadway provides handy travel alternatives for both north and southbound travelers. In close proximity to Walnut Creek, State Highway 24 crosses I-680, providing access to San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley through the Caldecott Tunnel. In terms of public transportation, Walnut Creek on the Yellow Line is the closest BART station, and County Connection buses (routes 21 and 321) offer local service along Danville Boulevard, linking Alamo to Danville, San Ramon, and Walnut Creek with options for weekday and weekend service.
